Weird Clearing

from The Man's a Freak by The Weary Band

/

about

Recorded and produced by the band in Phillip's bedroom.

lyrics

Barely had this morning gone
when she was done up on her way.
No long goodbyes or fare-thee-wells,
her smiling eyes would never tell
me where her smile would stray.

I saw her leave I watched her go
I even followed through the snow.
But soon her footprints disappeared
into a clearing really weird
I knew not where to go.

The winter sun was failing fast
I knew that I may never last.
I fell asleep inside a tree
and dreamed that she had come for me
until that night had passed.

As I awoke into the light
the snow had melted over-night.
